Supermoto KDX Conversion

This was the starting point, a bare corroded frame and a box of mixed parts.

The frame got grit blasted and power coated black. The engine cases were filed to remove cast marks then glass blasted and painted with high tempreture siver paint to protect the aluminum.

Using the original hubs which have been shot blasted, filed to remove casting marks and powder coated. The addition of 17" Tagasako Excel Rims with stainless steel spokes to the KDX hubs gives the benifits of wider road tyre choice and improved handling. We true our spoked rims to run within 0.25mm in all planes.

We can build any type of wheel required with the customers exact choice of rim and spoke combination.

We offer wheel hub powdercoating in any colour imaginable. Please ask for details.

Using a 310mm R1 disc outer and custom made aluminum disc carrier. Riveted together with Titanium bobbins, this lightweight and very stong disc set-up provides tremendous stopping power. Used with a Brembo twin piston caliper with our speacial Titanium brake pad pins, that improve pad movement, this set-up is more braking power than you could ever need!

For this bike we used High spec White Power USD fully adjustable forks from a KTM 690SM with oversize triple clamp yolks. Custom made titanium wheel spacers and an A4 grade stainless steel axel bolt finsh off the front end.

Here at braced engineering we can supply custom made stainless steel braided brake lines for speacial set-ups like this one.

For the dashboard we useed a Trail Tech Vapour unit with warning light dash. We can supply mounting brackets and dah surrounds in stainless steel, as below, or carbon fibre as seen on our XR600 section.
